Get your nose and mouth covered has not becoming a trend, it's a mandatory routine to protect ourselves and others. In the past months we saw how fashion designers and major fashion houses were responding to this critical time and an uncountable number of small / medium / large manufacturing enterprises transformed their production to create face masks as an active response to a global urgency.

A great part of selling masks initiative successfully contributed to help and support local hospitals and organizations in order to provide all the possible ( and impossible) to cope with an unprecedented situation. Modest fashion designers took part to this movement and from Usa to Indonesia, by stopping in Europe, you can find how they engaged to this.

When exploring Ramadan collections , I come across a beautiful project created by Ayana Ife, young talented designer based in the US, who took the catwalk of Project Fashion runway  (season 16) with her Modest collection and recently graduated in Brand & Business Management from Milano Fashion Institue.

Ayana has launched a special project celebrating Eid  - the festival that marks the end of a month of fasting from dawn to sunset, as well as spiritual reflection and prayer- by creating a limited Eid Collection Mask.

Available on the e-shop Mask Shop for Us, the high fashion limited edition Eid collection features a cloth mask constructed with a double layer material that is washable and re-usable, made up with 100% white cotton lining.

A touch of glamour and also a simple way to remind us that even when stay at home , women need to feel beautiful and for those who are celebrating Eid, this is a special occasion for a gift. Furthermore, for any mask you buy, one will be donated to a first responder, by contributing to fight the shortage of PPE (personal protective equipment).

And bear in mind that Ayana's collection masks are for all Women !

A great initiative to stay safe, keep on practicing social distancing while helping others and nurturing this month as a month of giving.
